Another year is winding down, and a new Year with all its new opportunities emerges right before our eyes.
If you are like me, you would say the past year, the year 2025, was not a good one. It was not a good one for me. I am here and writing this to you because God has healed me by sending His word that has the power to heal people. Psalms 107:20 says. “He (God) sent His word and healed them.” The one who created all from nothing by His omnipotent word can heal us from whatever illness you and I faced with. God healed me and please join me in praising Him. However, the 2025 will end in a day or few hours. We are almost on the eve of a brand-New Year 2026.
We don’t know what all is in it, but God knows all the days and details of the new year. Psalm 139 says “Your (God’s) eyes saw my unformed body; (when I was in my mother’s womb)

before one of them came to be.”

When there was not even one day for me while I was inside my mom, God wrote about all the days he ordained for me in His book. Of course, don’t you know for sure and sure that he knows all the details about the coming year?
Remember Isaiah 40:30-31 says, “Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

If we hope in the Lord, seek him in our daily needs and struggles, then the Lord will renew our strength; by that strength he provides, you will soar on wings like eagles. You will run and run by not growing weary, and you will walk and not become faint. You see, this promise is set in contrast to even the youths that grow tired, weary, stumble and fall.
The secret is seeking the Lord and hoping in Him. You will press on to the future to fulfil your purpose for which God called you. We hope you won’t hang on to the past hurts and disappointments. I read in a book written by Tony Evens that God hits a moving stone. Indeed, God hits the moving stones who are ready to move to the future and not stuck in the past. The one who continually looks backward and sits in the ashes of the past is not for God’s purposes.
Philippians 3 says, “Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
In a nutshell, God’s counsel is let the past go. Do not dwell on your past errors and mistakes; instead, move forward leaning and trusting the Lord. There is no time to waste in God’s calling and appointments. You must press on to lay hold of that for which He (God) laid hold of you. You have a purpose to fulfill in the plan and purpose of God.
Acts 13:36 says, “David served God’s purpose in his own generation, then he fell asleep (meaning he died after fulfilling God’s purpose in his life). God testified this about David, and God also said elsewhere about David, “a man after my own heart.” You see, despite all his greatness and sins, God testified that David served the purpose of God in his generation. You can also get up from the ashes of your frustrations, with a new strength that God grants to serve His purpose in this our generation.
God gives brand new strength and visions when you are broken before God, understanding the ‘true you’ and settling any accounts that are not settled yet with him, by asking to forgive you because of the shed blood of Christ. You may not be able to settle all debts with other human beings, but you can repent and confess to God. There begin the brand-new days ordained by God for you. The Bible says, “the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” It has the power to erase it all and give a new, powerful and goal-centered beginning for the year 2026.
Listen, no one can imagine what God would accomplish by you when you place your faith and trust in God through the merit of Jesus Christ. No, no one can imagine. You will testify to it all later before you close your eyes on this planet earth.
Look forward. God has new things for you. He has plans and purposes for you. You walk into it in the New Year 2026.
